We Need a Vacation and This Study Proves It

Seriously, we need a vacation.

The leading killer in the United States, heart disease, continues to destroy the general population. Heart disease can be caused by many things – but one of the largest causes is from ‘stress’ related health problems.

It doesn’t surprise me that the countries with the highest amounts of stress and least happy work-life balance are Japan and the United States – both push the corporate drone workaholic lifestyle which offers little payoff for most. See the chart below if you don’t believe me.

It’s been scientifically proven time and time again that getting away from the hustle of a stressful career can improve the overall happiness of people. When I say we need a vacation, it’s for good reason.

I personally love vacationing more than anything else there is to do (for the most part).

Nothing makes me happier than being on a sandy beach while the waves crash in… Having the ability to meet people from all around the world and to experience places with such pure beauty just fires me up.

It’s euphoric to me – and… it happens to be one of the major reasons I work so hard to build my digital marketing business.

We need a vacation, OK… trust me!

Why would you not want to have massive amounts of fun? Why would you not want to see all the incredible places of the world? Aren’t you tired of not being able to go and do what you want, when you want, with who you want?

Ask most people what they would do if they had millions in the bank and I guarantee that in their top five would be traveling the world.

I found this chart from Expedia.com which is rather embarrassing to say the least. America ranks near the bottom of the list in terms of the amount of vacation earned versus how much is used each year.

We need a vacation and the numbers prove it…

We Need a Vacation

We Need a Vacation

I met two Australian girls one year in Oahu, Hawaii, who actually changed how I look at life. They had been on ‘holiday’ for a month and explained to me how most all Australians do the same. I couldn’t believe it. But in that moment my thinking shifted to a whole new world of possibilities.

I became more focused on “living” and less focused on “working” my days away for some corporation who controls my life (both time & financially).

I became obsessed with creating a lifestyle that features more happiness, more vacations, and more rewarding experiences? Finally, my journey revealed the answerthe answer for you and I both!

But first… you have to BREAK free from the trap. Most people are forever bound to their employers schedule and are limited by the dollar they are paid in exchange.

You have to break free…

You have to fight, you have to CREATE – you have to PRODUCE results for yourself… not for your employer’s vacation schedule…

For yours…

For your families…

You deserve the experiences and you deserve the happiness that comes from vacationing. We need a vacation – scratch that, we need MANY vacations!

If you are tired of living in the trap and believe we need a vacation then comment, share, like, and tweet this post.
